Writing: The First Fifteen Lines of a Short Story
1. Before you start writing, take another look at the Prezi and listen to the podcasts on our VLE: CLICK HERE for LPPlus VLE page on the first 15 lines of a short story.
2. Write your 'The Adventure of Sherlock Bones & the Missing Squeaky Toy' story. Write 1 1/2 sides of A4.
Make sure you 'tick off' the techniques we want to include in the first 15 lines, girls!

Writing: Describing a Character's Appearance
1. Go over your spellings from this term in preparation for the Spelling Age assessment (the test isn't on the spellings - but you need to know the spelling rules that you've been taught).
2. I would like you to draw a characterture of three members of your family (you may include pets in this!) and write a three line description to go with it. Include a simile and try to 'zoom in' on a detail. Remember to be kind!
