Year Five and Six Weekend Homework

Year Five Weekend Homework

Task:
1. Read the ‘Flushers’ chapter.
2. Write a conversation between two flushers where they discuss the strange things they keep finding in the sewers, e.g. false teeth; false legs; old prams, etc. Write half-a-page of A4.

Year Six Weekend Homework
Please complete the plan sheet; if you are confident it it detailed and includes a sub-plot, you may type up your plan onto the Crogan wiki. If you're not sure, you can check it with me on Monday.

I'll be writing to the brilliant Chris Schweizer early next week to share with him our progress on the project, and you never know, he may take a look - so make sure you plan is as brilliant as possible, and includes a good sub-plot.

Due: Monday.

Year Six Flat Classroom Project: Type Up Your Plan

Year Six are writing stories with girls on the other side of the world at the Crogan's Adventure Flat Classroom Wiki.

Homework
Please go onto your wiki page and type up your three suggested plans. Indicate to your partner which of the plans is your favourite.

Make sure your plans include:
1. Characters (Who is in the story?)
2. Location (Where is the story set? In which historical period?)
3. A detailed plan (remember, it must make sense to a partner on the other side of the planet)

Tomorrow we'll think about the 'frame story' in more detail.

Year Six Flat Classroom Project with Haultain Community School (Saskatchewan, Canada) and John Glenn (California, USA): Crogan's Adventures

What do you think of our Easter diorama? We built a diorama based on the scenes in some of our favourite reads.

Year Six are starting an exciting 'flat classroom' project with our new friends in the United States and Canada. Visit the Crogan's Adventure Flat Classroom Project Wiki.

Your task for the weekend is to complete the Crogan Family tree brainstorm task:

1. For each of the Crogan’s, write two/three ideas for an adventure they might have
2. In your blue book, write a plan for a story for the three favourites

Due: Monday
