Welcome Back!

Year Five
Year Five have got a fantastic term ahead - including studying Horror Stories, Persuasive Writing and Comic Fiction.

We're kicking off the term by studying the techniques used to write a horror story. Click here for the (password-protected) Horror stories page on the Falcons School for Girls LP+ VLE.

Weekend homework:
1. Please read one of the stories in Michael Cox's '10 Best Horror Stories' ever; summarise the plot and explain in your own words what makes it scary.

2. The 100 Word Challenge has a new blog:
http://100wc.net/
Please enter this week's competition on your Kidblog page (blog won't work? Email me your entry)

Year Six
11+ will soon be done and dusted, and we'll be moving on to three key topics: 'My passion', Poetry and beginning to study Shakespeare in preparation for our School Play, Midsummer Night's Dream.

Please complete the 'Greg' writing task. Make sure you open with a 'perfect' paragraph! Write 1 1/2 sides of A4.
