2. Write your 'The Adventure of Sherlock Bones & the Missing Squeaky Toy' story. Write 1 1/2 sides of A4.

Writing: Describing a Character's Appearance

1. Go over your spellings from this term in preparation for the Spelling Age assessment (the test isn't on the spellings - but you need to know the spelling rules that you've been taught).

2. I would like you to draw a characterture of three members of your family (you may include pets in this!) and write a three line description to go with it. Include a simile and try to 'zoom in' on a detail. Remember to be kind!

I'm looking for you to 'set the scene' at the beginning using 8 lines of description, including figurative language (simile, metaphor and personification); try to include all of the Punctuation Pyramid in this description, too.
